For owners · After the deal
Ownership changed. The business didn't.
What Friday looks like, what Monday looks like, and what we mean when we say we don't fix what isn't broken.
Friday, and Monday
What actually changes.
Friday
- Your name on the door
- Your manager
- Your systems
- Your customers, calling the people they know
- Your vendors
Monday
- The same five
- An owner who reads the numbers
- A bank that returns calls
- Capital for the truck, the hire, the second location
What we do and don't promise.
We won't promise that nothing ever changes. We will promise you'll know why when something does.
Our starting point is that the business worked before we got there. The name, the people, the customers and the way work gets done are most of what we're paying for, so our instinct is to leave them be. We're allocators of capital, not caretakers: we invest where it helps and stay out of the way where it doesn't. The test for anything shared across the group is whether scale creates an advantage bigger than the complexity it introduces. Insurance, yes. A new logo, no.
Telling your people.
Before close, almost nobody — the two or three people you'd need to keep the deal quiet and the business running. At close, everyone, the same day, from you. After, customers and vendors hear it from the people they already know. We work out the day and the words with you, and we're in the room if you want us there.

Tell us a little about it. It reaches the person who decides, and you'll hear back either way.

What to expect
Then, if it might fit:
- A short call with the person who decides
- A written offer after basic financials, not a range
- A timeline set before you commit, and a call from us if it moves
- No contact with your people or customers without your say-so
